Password protection
A door, without building an account system
Some links are for a specific group and not for everyone who lands on your page. A password on the link is the lightest possible gate. No accounts, no invitations, no membership platform.
On every plan, including Free.
When a password is the right tool
- A press link before an embargo lifts
- Files for one client, on a public page
- An early-access link for a mailing list
- Something you will make public later
If access should follow a payment rather than a shared secret, use purchase gating instead. A password is one secret shared with many people, which means it leaks eventually — plan for that rather than being surprised by it.
On every plan. See pricing.
Common questions
Can each person have their own password?
No. It is one password per link. Per-person access means purchase gating or a subscription.
Is the destination hidden until unlock?
Yes — the destination is not exposed on the page before the password is accepted.
